In-Garden Coaching, Teaching, Pruning and Design
Regardless of the size or sophistication of a landscape, everyone can use some help in designing and caring for their gardens and property. I can provide coaching on a specific skill in one visit(e.g., pruning, dividing, design, perennial care, fertilization, pest management, etc.) or come on a regular schedule and help advise to timely work specific to your garden. This doesn’t have to be a costly venture as the savings of proper care and design far outweigh the cost of this expert advice. I also run-in-garden workshops on topics like pruning, perennial care, soil management or anything else of interest to you, your friends or organization.
Landscape Inventory, Pruning Calendar or Garden Assessment
People new to a property or even new to gardening often need help learning about the plants and trees in their landscape. Identification is critical before being able to properly care for plants, and a Plant Inventory can be incredibly useful. This type of assessment can also include a review of hardscape, lawn, irrigation, lighting and other structures in the landscape. This can be a prelude to creating a new design, coaching on care of the garden, or building a team of experts to manage the garden. I also create pruning calendars to help clients understand timing and approach to pruning the specific plants in their gardens. This is very popular with clients who first want to learn more about pruning and have a record to guide them throughout the year.

While many people prefer to manage their own gardens and landscape, often contractors are needed for specific work: Arborist, Irrigation, Lawncare, Plant Healthcare, Pond Care, Masonry, Maintenance, etc. Whether you need occasional support or want to build a team of competent experts, I can help you understand the scope of support needed and introduce the experts to perform this work.
